Why I write this down
I am Ahmed Foullane, a full-stack web and mobile developer. I care about shipping work that is maintainable: Spring Boot APIs with tests, Flutter apps with a real domain, and frontends that do not fight their design system.
This post is the human version of the CV. The technical versions live in the SCM API article and the Flutter DDD article.
Training, then building
I trained as a full-stack developer and kept adding tools that production teams actually use: Java, Spring Boot, React, Angular, Flutter, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
The through-line is not “I know many logos”. It is that a product has several surfaces. Someone has to make them agree.
Two projects that taught the job
A B2B supply-chain backend
I built an MVC Spring Boot service for procurement, production, and delivery. JWT protects the REST flows. Tests, coverage, SonarQube, and a Docker publish step sit in CI. That is the kind of backend I want to keep building.
A Flutter client with DDD
I built a multi-platform Flutter app where the domain is not trapped in widgets. Models and API clients come from OpenAPI. The UI follows modern UX and talks REST without becoming a second backend.
Those two together are the job: API plus client, contract plus interface.
How I like to work
- Prefer a boring architecture that tests well over a clever one.
- Generate clients when the API is documented.
- Put a quality gate in front of Docker tags.
- Keep UI consistent with Tailwind or a design system, not one-off CSS.
I am motivated and reliable, and I am looking for jobs or freelance projects where quality is not optional.
If that sounds like your team, the portfolio is on projects and you can contact me directly.
Frequently Asked Questions
What do you look for in a job or freelance project?
Clear product problems, a chance to own a slice of web or mobile, and a team that cares about tests and delivery, not only screenshots.
Web or mobile first?
I am productive on both. Spring Boot and React for web backends and dashboards. Flutter when the client needs Android, iOS, and a shared domain.
How should we start a freelance engagement?
Send the problem, the stack constraints, and a deadline. I reply with a scope, not a vague weekly rate.
